Once upon a time, there lived a poor farmer named Palash along with his wife who kept a goose, who used to lay golden eggs. They used to sell those eggs in the market. In this way, they used to carry out their daily livelihood.
One day the wife of the peasant thought to herself and kept murmuring to herself that "what would happen if she kills the goose and collect all the golden eggs at once."Accordingly, she thought of executing a strategy to kill the goose and bought a sharp butcher from the market. With this she brutally beheaded the goose at once. But to her surprise, she didn't get any golden eggs.Instead, the goose died. After some time, the farmer returned from his work and found the goose lying dead with a streampool of blood on the ground. He asked his wife regarding the matter that to "how it happened?" She replied crying loudly that she thought she would get all the golden eggs at once by killing the goose. On hearing this from his wife,he started weeping out of emotional outburst and marked her as very silly and foolish. Not only that,he also stated that this is the consequence of her misdeed which she and him has to pay for the rest of their life by killing the goose.
So the moral of the story is:
“Greediness brings misfortune.”
